NeckPro x Armos Integrated Therapy: Our Second Mini NeckPro

Some collaborations begin in a meeting room. This one began with comics, portrait drawings, honest conversations and a podcast among friends.

NeckPro is pleased to introduce our second Mini NeckPro Sleep Experience Corner, this time in collaboration with Armos Integrated Therapy in Setia Alam.

The collaboration features Senior Therapist Mr. Tommy Ling, who is certified by FCPAAM and ARP. For NeckPro, however, Tommy is not simply a professional we approached for a campaign. He is a friend whose creative work, curiosity and way of communicating with people we have known for some time.

After launching the first Mini NeckPro with TIO Chiro & Physio in Petaling Jaya, this second location is another meaningful step in our effort to bring practical mattress-and-pillow education closer to Malaysian communities.

How I First Knew Tommy Ling

Before I knew Tommy as a senior therapist, I knew him as a content creator.

Tommy enjoys drawing comics and creating 人物画像—character portraits that capture more than a person’s appearance. Good portraits often reveal personality through small details: an expression, a posture or a moment that other people might overlook.

That creative side was what made it easy for us to connect. Although our professional work came from different fields, we both enjoyed turning ideas and everyday experiences into stories that people could understand.

Eventually, Tommy and I joined a group of friends to create a podcast called β€œδ½ θ§‰εΎ—ε‘’οΌŸ / Agree to Disagree”.

The programme was built around open conversation. We did not always share the same opinion, and that was the point. We talked, questioned, disagreed and laughed together. Through those conversations, I came to appreciate Tommy’s ability to look at an issue from different angles and explain his thoughts in a relatable way.

That same quality also appears in his professional work. Therapy can involve unfamiliar terms and techniques, but people usually want clear answers to very human questions: Why do I keep feeling uncomfortable? What habits may be contributing to it? What can I do differently in daily life?

Tommy’s experience as a creator helps him communicate those ideas in a way that feels approachable. To me, that combination of professional knowledge and human connection made Armos Integrated Therapy a natural partner for Mini NeckPro.

β€œOur collaboration did not begin with a product proposal. It grew from friendship, creativity and many conversations about how to make useful knowledge easier for people to understand.”

From Podcast Conversations to a Professional Collaboration

Working on a podcast together lets you see how someone thinks.

You learn whether they listen before answering, whether they are willing to question their own assumptions and whether they can disagree without losing respect for the other person. Those qualities matter in creative work, but they also matter when someone is helping another person understand their body and daily habits.

Over time, our conversations moved naturally into areas where Armos and NeckPro share common ground.

Armos Integrated Therapy focuses on customised manual therapy and publicly discusses concerns such as postural issues, physical activity and sports-related discomfort. NeckPro focuses on the mattress and pillow environment people return to after work, exercise, commuting and all the demands of daily life.

These are different professional roles, but they can belong in the same wider conversation about everyday support.

A therapy session happens during a limited part of the week. Daily habits continue for many more hours: how a person sits, moves, works, uses a phone and rests. Sleep products do not replace assessment, treatment, movement or rehabilitation, but the sleeping environment is still something worth paying attention to.

That understanding became the foundation of NeckPro x Armos Integrated Therapy.

Why Armos Integrated Therapy Is a Natural Fit

We did not want Mini NeckPro to be just a small product display placed in any available corner.

The concept works best when the partner understands that customers need education, not pressure. A mattress or pillow is personal. Two people can have the same height and still prefer very different levels of cushioning, firmness or pillow contour.

Armos and NeckPro share several values that make the collaboration meaningful:

  • Listen before recommending. A person’s concerns, habits and preferences should be understood before advice is offered.
  • Explain in practical language. Technical knowledge is most useful when people can apply it in everyday life.
  • Avoid one-size-fits-all thinking. Different bodies, routines and sleeping positions may require different approaches.
  • Encourage informed decisions. People should understand why an option may or may not suit them.
  • Keep professional boundaries clear. Therapy guidance and sleep-product guidance have complementary but separate roles.

The Mini NeckPro corner gives visitors a convenient place to experience selected sleep products while keeping these values at the centre of the conversation.

What Is a Mini NeckPro?

A Mini NeckPro is a compact version of the NeckPro showroom experience located within a selected partner venue.

It does not carry every NeckPro model or mattress size. Instead, it presents a curated selection of mattresses and pillows that visitors can see, touch and try before creating a shortlist.

At a Mini NeckPro corner, visitors may be able to:

  • Experience the surface feel of a selected NeckPro mattress
  • Compare selected pillow shapes, heights and firmness levels
  • Test a pillow together with the mattress beneath it
  • Learn what to notice when lying in a usual sleeping position
  • Ask practical questions about product specifications and ordering
  • Create a more informed shortlist before making a purchase

Because the display is intentionally compact, models and availability may change. Customers who want to try a particular product should contact Armos Integrated Therapy or NeckPro before visiting.

Why the Second Mini NeckPro Matters

The first Mini NeckPro, launched with TIO Chiro & Physio, showed us that a sleep-product experience does not always need to begin in a large retail showroom.

Some customers feel more comfortable learning in a smaller environment. Some want to compare a pillow after discussing their daily habits with a professional. Others simply live closer to a partner location and appreciate having a convenient place to try selected products.

The Armos collaboration brings the concept to the Setia Alam and Shah Alam community. More importantly, it shows how Mini NeckPro can grow through relationships with professionals and organisations that genuinely value education.

This is not about placing as many displays as possible. It is about creating the right touchpoints with the right partners.

Tommy’s Perspective: Support Continues Beyond the Therapy Room

One idea behind the collaboration is that what people do outside a therapy session also matters.

Someone may receive professional care and then return to long hours at a desk, frequent driving, demanding physical activity or an unsuitable sleep setup. No single product can control all of those factors. However, noticing the environment and routines that repeat every day can help people ask better questions about their comfort.

A mattress and pillow influence how the body is supported while resting, but choosing them requires context. Pillow height should be considered together with sleeping position, shoulder width and mattress firmness. Mattress feel should be evaluated according to body weight, movement, comfort preference and whether the bed is shared.

The aim of Mini NeckPro is not to promise recovery or prevent every recurrence of discomfort. It is to help people experience different sleep-support options and make a more considered choice.

Why Trying a Pillow and Mattress Together Matters

A pillow does not work in isolation from the mattress.

On a softer mattress, the shoulder and upper body may sink more deeply, changing how high the pillow feels. On a firmer mattress, the body may remain closer to the surface, so the same pillow can feel higher.

This is why pressing a pillow with your hand or testing it while standing does not tell you enough. Whenever possible, lie down in your usual position and allow the pillow to compress naturally.

During a short trial, consider these questions:

  1. Does your head feel pushed upward or allowed to drop too low?
  2. Can your neck and shoulders relax without forcing a position?
  3. Can you turn between your usual sleeping positions comfortably?
  4. Does the mattress feel stable when you move?
  5. If you share the bed, does the size give both sleepers enough usable space?
  6. After several minutes, does the setup still feel natural?

You can explore NeckPro’s current pillow collection and mattress collection before visiting, then ask which selected models are available at Armos.

Who May Find the Armos Mini NeckPro Useful?

The experience may be especially useful for people who:

  • Live or work around Setia Alam, Shah Alam or nearby communities
  • Prefer to try a mattress or pillow before purchasing
  • Are unsure whether their current pillow feels too high or too low
  • Want to compare contour, rebound and firmness in person
  • Have changed mattresses and noticed that their usual pillow now feels different
  • Are helping a parent, partner or family member explore a new sleep setup
  • Already visit Armos and want a convenient introduction to selected NeckPro products

Therapy and Sleep Products Have Different Roles

This distinction is important to both NeckPro and Armos Integrated Therapy.

Armos provides services within its own professional scope. NeckPro provides information about mattresses, pillows and sleep-product selection. The collaboration does not turn a NeckPro product into a medical device, treatment or guaranteed solution for pain.

A suitable mattress or pillow may improve comfort and may help a person maintain a more comfortable resting position. However, it cannot diagnose the cause of pain, replace professional assessment or guarantee that symptoms will not return.

If you experience persistent or worsening pain, symptoms following an injury, numbness, weakness, tingling, dizziness or discomfort that regularly interrupts work, movement or sleep, seek assessment from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

How to Prepare for a Mini NeckPro Visit

  1. Identify your usual sleeping position. Are you mainly a side sleeper, back sleeper, stomach sleeper or combination sleeper?
  2. Know your current mattress. Consider its age, firmness and whether it feels softer or firmer than you prefer.
  3. Notice your pillow habits. Do you fold it, stack another pillow, place a hand underneath or frequently remove it?
  4. Bring your partner when possible. If the bed is shared, both people should test the mattress rather than relying on one person’s preference.
  5. Wear comfortable clothing. This makes it easier to lie down and change positions naturally.
  6. Allow more than a few seconds. Give each pillow or mattress time to settle before comparing.
  7. Confirm the available models. Mini NeckPro carries a selected range, so contact Armos or NeckPro before travelling for a specific item.

More Than a Business Collaboration

For me, this collaboration is a reminder that meaningful partnerships often begin long before anyone discusses business.

I first knew Tommy through drawing, content creation and conversations among friends. We created a podcast together because we believed different opinions could lead to better discussions. Now, through NeckPro and Armos Integrated Therapy, we are continuing that spirit in a new form: helping people ask better questions about their daily habits, physical comfort and sleep environment.

Our first Mini NeckPro with TIO Chiro & Physio opened the door. Our second Mini NeckPro with Armos shows that the idea can grow while remaining personal, educational and community-focused.

We are grateful to Tommy and the Armos team for being part of this next chapter.

We’ve got your back… and your neck.

No. It carries a selected range suited to the available space. Contact Armos or NeckPro to confirm the current display models, sizes, prices and ordering arrangements.

Can Tommy prescribe a NeckPro mattress or pillow?

Therapy guidance and sleep-product selection remain separate. A professional may discuss general support considerations, while NeckPro provides the relevant product specifications and purchasing guidance. The collaboration does not mean every client receives a product prescription.

Can a NeckPro mattress or pillow treat neck or back pain?

No mattress or pillow can diagnose or treat every cause of pain. A suitable sleep product may improve comfort and support a more comfortable resting position, but persistent or concerning symptoms require appropriate professional assessment.
